Zizek seems to revel in being incoherent and introducing mystification whenever possible. He is enchanted by the common trope of avoiding refutation by being impossible to pin down. All you need to acknowledge the unknown is to have epistemic humility. Weak atheism (simple absence of belief in god) denies metaphysical speculation while accepting our agnostic condition on many issues.
